Wild West Off Roadtm was started back in 1988 and has gone through many changes over the years. Originally selling other manufacturers products and then making our own line of products when we couldn't find what we and our customers needed elsewhere.

Originally started back in 1988, due to the need for products that just cannot be bought at the local auto parts store and for the past 19 years Wild West Off Road has been designing and building high quality off road products for the hardcore off road enthusiasts.

For those of you unfamiliar with us, we'd like to share some history: It started in 1988 when Tim Lund became heavily involved with Toyota mini-trucks, soon after he met Mike LaCroix (Toaster), owner of a heavily modified and well used 1986 Samurai (remember this was 1988 when heavily modified for a Samurai meant 31" tires!). They soon began modifying and building parts for Toaster's Samurai and as word spread they began building parts and modifying Samurais for others…and it snowballed from there. In the early 90's before anyone had thought to install the Sidekick 1.6 engine or front diff gears into the Samurai and about the same time that Victory Engineering developed and released the first 4.16 Rock Lobster Samurai T-case, Tim and Mike were busy swapping V-6s into the Samurais, figuring that the easiest way to combat bigger tires was with bigger engines.

Soon we made the first of what became many trips to Moab , UT, where we met many more enthusiasts and loved Moab so much, that the next year we created what was to be the Suzuki event of the year for many years to come: The 1st Moab Zukfari! The next couple Zukfaris brought new friends, new ideas and new products, until due to day job changes, we handed over the Zukfari to RRO and the ASA and ion the last few years taken over by Zukiworld.

That is all ancient history.... in the following years Tim went on to run the warranty and tech dept for ARB Air Locker and spent 9 years with them helping fix, repair and design many of ARBs products over those years. He also spent those years travelling North America, South and Central America attending trade shows, 4x4 events and conducting training seminars for mechanics to teach differential install and troubleshooting.

In more recent history, Tim left ARB to reopen Wild West full-time and been working on their new location just off I-5 in Centralia Wa.
